The Advantages of Hiring a Freelancer I work for you only when you need me and you only pay for the services you need. As a freelancer, I offer a professional service that you might not be able to get in-house. Often, in-house staff are asked to perform proofreading and copyediting functions even though it is not their major talent or even one of their normally assigned tasks. I offer the expertise needed and can complete the project so that your in-house staff do not have to compromise their own assigned tasks. I can help you meet your project's deadlines by offering flexible working hours. I can also be available to help you cope with rush projects by working on my regular "off" days (higher rates apply and advance notice is required). I will provide an estimated time and date of completion and keep you updated throughout the project. If I have a time conflict created by a job I have in-house, I am honest enough to tell you before I accept your project. I will neither compromise your project, nor compromise another client's project just for the sake of being able to invoice a job.
