Copyediting Service As a copyeditor, I provide a fresh perspective and read your work from an objective point of view. I will look for ways to improve your text, whether by making a simple correction to punctuation, a substitution of a word or phrase for the existing text, or a complete re-write of an entire section. As appropriate, I will also verify that the format and style of your text complies with the style requirements of the publication for which you are writing. A good copyeditor never loses sight of the style, tone, and overall character of the text. I will not change your work in such a manner that it becomes my work. In fact, if you prefer, I will make no changes at all.

Instead, I will provide thoughtful queries that offer alternatives and suggestions for re-writes that you might want to consider or other changes that might be made to the overall text, such as reorganizing sections so that the text has a more logical flow of thought. This gives you the opportunity to decide how much of a change to make or to make no change at all.

I will tailor the level of my copyediting services to meet your exact needs. You always pay for only what you need and only for the actual hours that I work.
